GIALOS KATHAROS
Small beach (approx. 80 meters long) in the North-East of the island. Grey-black pebbles. The rocks give some shadow. Empty in low season.

GIALOS BAXEDES
This beach is also called “Paradisos” and is located in the North of Santorini. About 1 km after PORI (to the North) this black beach starts and stretches 5 km almost up to the Kavos Mavropetra. The beach has sand, pebbles and small rocks. At the back there are bright cliffs of pumice. In low season not busy except weekends. Good view to the islands of Anafi and Ios.

KOULOUMBOS BEACH
Close to PORI, small sandy beach (also pebbles). Steps lead down beyond the taverna “Pori”.

GIALOS VOURVOULOS
Small beach (sand-pebbles) east of the village VOURVOULOS.
The sandy beach is ideal for relaxation and the water is almost turquoise blue. It is among the lesser known beaches of Santorini and as such it is secluded, which provides discreet privacy - here at Vourvoulos it is simply you and the sea.
Regrettably the VOURVOULOS beach is very windy and not well maintained. The waves can be huge and it is always advisable to be at a safe distance from the shoreline.

GIALIS KANAKARI
Small, about 250 meter long beach east of KONTOCHORI, grey-black sand and small stones. Sharp rocks extend from the beach also inside the sea – so better wear shoes.

EXO GIALOS
This beach is located east of KARTERADOS. Fine, black sandy beach and pebbles, 300-400 meters long.

MONOLITHOS
The beach of MONOLITHOS is on the east side of the island, north of the beach of KAMARI, in the area near the airport.

It is a less crowded beach with grey sand. At the back there are some trees for shadow, but you can also find sunchairs and umbrellas for rent. There are some hotels and rooms, restaurants and cafés. Sometimes the wind is unpleasant in this area.

KAMARI
KAMARI is situated about ten kilometers southeast of Fira. You find here an impressive long and inviting black sandy beach. At the south end there is an enormous rock called MESA VOUNO that rises from the sea and is lighted at night. .
The beach of KAMARI is well organized and offers all kinds of facilities like sun chairs, umbrellas and different types of water sports. The houses of the village line the beach, and offer a nice walk by the sea. Lined up here there is a great variety of restaurants, bars, cafés and nightclubs.
Boats connect KAMARI with PERISSA. A nice short trip around the rocks of MESA VOUNO.

PERISSA
Perissa beach is an impressively long black sandy beach situated 15 km southeast of Fira.
It’s most impressive feature is the MESA VOUNO, an enormous rock rising from the sea that offers a great view at night when it is lit.
The beach is organized with sun chairs and umbrellas for rent, beach volleyball and water sports.
There is a good variety of tavernas, cafés and bars along the beach.

LIMNES
The LIMNES beach continues from the south of PERISSA on the way to PERIVOLOS beach.

PERIVOLOS
The picturesque beach of PERVOLOS is located south of PERISSA, about 3 km. This marvelous beach is towards the southern end of the island of Santorini. On the beachfront there are numerous taverns, pubs and restaurants.
PERIVOLOS beach is easily accessible from Perissa. Buses and taxis will take you there, or one  can choose to walk the distance through this beautiful countryside.
PERIVOLOS beach in many ways is a continuation of the beaches of PERISSA and LIMNES and there are absolutely no barriers between the beaches.
The PERIVOLOS beach is called The Black Beach due to the fact that its shoreline is strewn with black pebbles. It is a well organized beach and offers o good choice of water sports facilities such as windsurfing, scuba diving and jet skiing.

ORMOS VLICHADA
The VLICHADA beach itself is quite long with the dark grey sand one finds all over the island. There are a number of sun chairs here and a beach bar next to the car park.  It’s worth having a look at the rock formations of pumice behind the beach. In the middle there is a marina with fishing boats and yachts. There is a bus connection, but take care in low season.
To the east you can walk as far as MESA VOUNO along the beach.

RED BEACH
The RED BEACH is one of the most famous beaches of Santorini. It is located near the village and ancient site of AKROTIRI. It is accessible by car and then by walking from the parking space at the church of AGIOS NIOLAOS MAVRVRACHIDI or with caiques (small fishing boats used for transportation) that from the ports of AKROTIRI and FIRA. If you come by bus you can get off at the excavations of AKROTIRI or at the end of the bus line and walk to the West from the beach of Akrotiri passing also the church of Agios Nikolaos. As you come around the cape suddenly you can see the impressive rock formations on the beach. The colors turn from bright yellow to red and black. For sure one of the most scenic places on Santorini.
Because it is smallish, the red beach gets quite crowded, though a number of people come just to admire this beach and never make it down to the hot sand. On the beach there are lines of sun chairs and umbrellas and two snack bars.

GIALOS KAMPIA
KAMPIA is a small pebble beach, just a few minutes walking west of the RED BEACH. One small taverna open June-September. Nice view to the RED BEACH on your left.
