As first step you we will give an idea for the offers and the packages we have for marriages in Santorini. It is one of the most beloved destinations for couples  that wish to exchange vows of eternal love, in one Cycladian island.

Below you will find general details.

These are the requested documents for CIVIL WEDDINGS that must be obtained by the bride and groom. Then, they must be translated in Greek at the Greek Embassy or Consulate with stamp APOSTILLE on all of them and forwarded to our office, Cyclades Reservation Center & Travel, five  (5) weeks before the wedding.

FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATE
Both parties must obtain a 'full' Birth Certificate as the 'shorter' version of the Birth Certificate will not be acceptable.

CERTIFICATE OF NO IMPEDIMENT TO MARRIAGE
This document certifies that both parties are Single, Legally Eligible and Free to get married in Greece. It can be obtained from their local Superintendent Registrar Office.
It may take up to 1 month to obtain and the certificate must not be issued more than 3 months before the wedding day!!!

And some more documents for the following particular circumstances:
DECREE ABSOLUTE
If any of the parties is divorced, a Certified Copy of the Decree Absolute must be obtained!!!

DEATH CERTIFICATE
If any of the parties is a widower, a Death Certificate must be obtained!!!

DEED POLL CERTIFICATE
If any of the parties has changed his/her name by Deed Poll, written proof must be obtained!!!

ADOPTION CERTIFICATE
This certificate is necessary if any of the parties was adopted!!!

BAPTISM CERTIFICATE
This certificate is necessary for Catholic Church & Orthodox Church weddings!!!!!

A FREEDOM TO MARRY CERTIFICATE
This document is the assurance that the couple is free from any canonical impediment for marriage and is necessary for Catholic Church & Orthodox Church weddings!!!!!  Both parties must obtain above Certificate either from their parish or their areas' Town hall.

TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS
All the above documents have to be translated in Greek at the Greek Embassy or Consulate and sent to our office four weeks before the wedding.

Please note that it's preferable at first to send us the documents (by email or fax) to check them through the Mayor's office and make sure that they are correct and nothing is missing.
After their confirmation, you should have to send us by post the original papers, or bring them to us upon arrival in Santorini only if the wedding is a few days later than their arrival day.

WITNESSES AT CEREMONY
Two witnesses are required for the wedding.

CIVIL MARRIAGE VALIDITY
In order for the marriage to be valid, after the wedding the couple must declare, at the Registry Office of ThiraCommunity, within forty days, that the wedding has been performed.

OFFICIAL WEDDING CERTIFICATE
Civil marriage: the official certificate is issued within 3 working days after the wedding and is sent to Syros island for Apostille Stamps. Then it is forwarded to the married couple's home address, direct by them.

The ceremony will be currently performed in Greek and English language by the person who performs the ceremony.

Wedding organized places in Santorini
In Santorini there are few well organized places that provide well organized areas for Ceremony and Receptions.
Some of them as follow:
The winery "Volcan Wines" on the way to Kamari.  It's location doesn't provide Caldera View, but it's proper for ceremonies and reception required and their price is more accessible. For example the cost for a reception until 03.00am could be approximately up to 2.500 euros.  Menu rate for reception: on request (depends on clients requirements).  It's a very nice setting for wedding reception which accepts 300 pax. To hire the place only for the ceremony and approximately for 3 hours, the minimum cost will start from 1000, 00 Euro.  No decoration is included in this price, but free wine will be offered for the reception and free entrance at the museum of the winery.

The "Antoniou Winery" close to Pyrgos Village with open-air areas looking the Caldera. A very traditional place for wedding ceremonies which can accept approximately up to 100 people. For example the cost for a reception until 02:30am could be approximately up to 3.800 euros.  Menu rate for reception: 110, 00 Euro per person.

The Winery "Santo Wines" another place close to Pyrgos Village with open-air areas looking the Caldera. The main terrace of Santo Wines is also available for receptions and can accommodate up to 120 people, only upon request. To hire the place only for the ceremony and approximately for 1 hour, the cost will start from 250, 00 Euro for 2-10 people, up to 350, 00 Euro for 31-60 people.  No decoration is included in these prices.

The hotel "Suites of the Gods" between Pyrgos and Megalochori village with view to the Caldera. It has a fabulous wedding terrace with Ceremonial Arch which can accommodate up to 150 people. There is also possibility for reception with wine and appetizers on request.  To hire the wedding terrace only for the ceremony and approximately for 1 hour, the cost will start from 350, 00 Euro for 2-12 people, up to 480, 00 Euro for 26- 50 people.  Specific Decoration is included in these prices.

The "Saint Irene Terrace", a huge terrace close to the chapel of Saint Irene at Messaria Village close to the Volcano View Villas. The place is offered only for the wedding ceremony.  In order to hire this place for approximately 1 hour the cost will be approximately 250, 00 Euro and accepts between 30-50 people.  No decoration is included in this price, and it's offered only the wedding table, a fridge that can be used for the wedding cake and a toilet at the area.  For Reception after the wedding, it can be arranged at the Volcano Wines winery or another restaurant with Caldera View upon request.
